Reporting to the Production Coordinator, you will be responsible for safely ensuring that product specifications are consistently met during the mixing, formulation, and pasteurisation processes. Operating Mix Plants, Pasteurisers, and other specialised processing equipment, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality products. Key Accountabilities:Maintain Food Safety, Hygiene and Quality Standards: Uphold hygiene, safety, and operational excellence through adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP and Lactalis internal policies and procedures), including housekeeping, waste reduction, and personal hygiene.Product Handling & Formulation: Accurately formulate dairy products and assist in recipe development and product trials to meet quality specifications.Cleaning & Sterilisation: Perform CIP (Clean-in-Place) and sterilisation of equipment, tanks, and lines to ensure hygiene and product integrity.Quality Assurance & Testing: Conduct product testing, raw material sampling, and maintain documentation to support regulatory and quality compliance.Inventory & Equipment Maintenance: Conduct routine operator (e.g., O-ring replacement) maintenance including preventative maintenance, manage ingredient ordering, and report malfunctions or defective products.Production Efficiency: Support production schedules, minimise waste, troubleshoot, and ensure proper documentation, handling of rework and changeovers according to procedures.Teamwork & Communication: Collaborate with team members, assist in training, and report issues that may impact operations or product quality.Perform relevant SAP (Lactalis Management System) transactions.Participate and contribute towards continuous improvement initiatives. About you:The successful candidate will have:Certificate 1 Food Processing or the equivalent. Experience working in Dairy Manufacturing with an understanding of Heat Treatment Process, Homogenising Process, Separation Process, Holding and Storage.  Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).A working knowledge of HACCP and OH&S is desirable but not essential.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting abilities.Excellent attention to detail.This is a full time position which requires the incumbent to work a 12 hour rotating roster including weekends. We are seeking an individual who has a positive and proactive attitude and is able to foster positive working relationships.
